About Our Speaker, Sierra

Sierra Pierce is currently serving as the assistant principal at Hyde Park Middle School. Before moving back to Austin in 2020, Sierra taught middle school science in both private and public schools. She also worked in ministry, as the Children’s Minister at Stamford Church of Christ and as the Associate Minister of Spiritual Formation at University Avenue Church of Christ. She has her bachelors and masters degrees from Abilene Christian University where she studied Life Science Education and Ministry, she is also currently completing a Masters of Educational Leadership and Policy from UT Arlington. Sierra has been married to her husband, Brandon, for 15 years and has two boys, Oliver and Elliott, who are in 7th and 5th grade. She is so excited to be back visiting at UA and catching up with everyone.
