Our community is a made up of a diversity of people who hold and express a wide range of beliefs. This makes the community of the University Avenue Church rich in its identity. However, as a unique local expression of the Kingdom of God, there are core beliefs that the leadership of the church holds as defining of this community:

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and teaches us all we need to know about God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to have relationship with God.

We believe in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe that it is the grace of God through our faith, not our merit, that allows us a new life in God and our salvation.

These beliefs are not exhaustive, but help define a core identity that guides the University Avenue Church of Christ.
