Our New Fall 2025 Study!

Revelation: God of Justice, Lord of Glory

Begins Sept. 2 & 3! MORE at deannamunger.com/revelation/

You’re invited to this exciting study of the final book of the Bible.  Revelation can seem cryptic, confusing, and chaotic. However, the early church was able to understand this book, and we can too! We will discover Revelation’s beautiful organization, its symbols that come from predictable sources (the rest of Scripture!), and its enlightening message of hope for all generations of Christians. The early church found Revelation encouraging, and so can we!

Whether you are new to Bible study or looking to go deeper, you’ll find our discussion classes to be thoughtful and welcoming!

Service & Outreach

The UA Women's Ministry does regular service projects! Our monthly and Summer Lite service items include:

  • Stuffing and sewing pillows for Lifeline Chaplaincy - they are given during chaplain hospital visits
  • Packing up Hospice Bags - care packages for family of those in end of life care at nearby Christopher House
  • Packing up Police Bags and Firefighter Bags - care packages for local public servants
  • Fixing up items around the building, for the ministries of the church such as Longhorns for Christ and All God's Children, and more!

We also conduct Outreach Events! What is planned next?

A salad luncheon hosting ministers and staff to finish the Spring 2025 semester

A BiG Christmas Pizza Party to cap off the fall semester in December 2025

BiG (Brookwood in Georgetown) is a ministry changing the way the world views adults with disabilities. BiG has a downtown location at UA Church four days a week. Our Women's Ministry celebrated with them the last two Christmases for our semester-ending party and we all loved it! We'll do it again in 2024!

Many of our past studies are available on video.  Check out the links here, and even more on DeannaMunger.com

In this study, we followed the prophet Ezekiel from his vision of the glory of God, through many strange prophetic sign acts, to God’s promise of a new heart and a new temple for the people of God. Ezekiel connects back to Exodus and Elijah, across to Isaiah and Daniel, and forward to the teachings of Jesus and to Revelation. These lessons are recorded if you'd like to learn about this book that heightens our understanding of the story of Scripture and shows us God’s heart for restoration.

See the Ezekiel Study Page for these thirteen in-depth, discussion-based lessons hosted by our women's ministry and taught by Deanna Munger (see about Deanna).

GOD of Restoration: Poetry and Prophesy in Isaiah 40-55

Do you want to see God as the God of Restoration? As the God who stretched out the heavens, who tells the end from the beginning, and who has a surprising plan to bring salvation to the ends of the earth?

We recently studied the sixteen chapters that make up the second section of Isaiah, an extended poem in which God speaks to Israel in exile. This poetry declares God’s rescue and restoration of the people of Israel who have been suffering in exile, but these passages also look forward to God’s plan for our rescue and salvation through God’s Servant.

Find the entire series on DeannaMunger.com/Isaiah as we study how these chapters celebrate God's faithful love, look forward to the Messiah, and point to the new creation God has designed for all nations.

Colossians: Christ in You, the Hope of Glory

The UA Women's ministry recently completed an in-depth, discussion-based study on the short but powerful book of Colossians.

You can find all the details and watch the videos at DeannaMunger.com/Colossians
