Longhorns for Christ is University Avenue Church's mission to the University of Texas and the university community of Austin. It exists to help students seek a new life in Christ and to help believers grow in relationship with God and each other.
Longhorns for Christ is a place to start life over. Regardless of where you have been, what you have done, who you are, the choices you have made, Longhorns for Christ is a place to find acceptance and and the overwhelming love of God. If you are coming to the UT campus as a believer and want to fully engage your faith, Longhorns for Christ is a mission post that needs your spiritual gifts and will help you grow all the more. It is a community of encouragement, of discipleship, of mission, of love, and of prayer.

Wednesdays, 6:00pm
Uplift is a time of worship and togetherness, and is the largest gathering of LFC each week. We begin with a free meal at 6:00pm and begin worship at 6:30pm. Uplift includes music, prayer, scripture, teaching, and other creative elements to help us enter the presence of God together in worship.
Sunday nights, various times and locations
Life Groups are small groups of students who meet in various locations around Austin to share in prayer, Bible study, and discipleship. A Life Group is a safe and intimate place to connect and develop friends who care about you deeply and spiritually.
Friday nights, various times and locations
Longhorns for Christ is a place to have fun. Almost every Friday night during the semester, join LFC for a night of fun with your friends. From karaoke, to Nerf wars, to mini-golf, to progressive dinners and more, there is something for everyone. Bring your friends!
Open 8am to midnight weekdays
The Longhorns for Christ Campus Center is designed to be your home away from home. The LFC Campus Center is available every day and is equipped with everything you need to hang out with your friends, study, eat, rest, play, practice spiritual disciplines, or simply get away from the craziness of campus.

Other ways to be involved with LFC include regular service projects, overseas missions with the Let's Start Talking ministry, retreats each semester, special road trips, and more!

It is the goal of LFC to be the kind of mission-minded community found in Acts 2:42-47:
